Phoenix Suns Devin Booker Out-Duals Close Friend in Minnesota

The Phoenix Suns were in the midst of facing turmoil after a three game losing streak.  The Suns lost to the Boston Celtics, the Sacramento Kings, as well as the New Orleans Pelicans.  Although the Boston Celtics have proven to be a top tier team, the games against the Sacramento Kings, and the New Orleans Pelicans were most definitely matchups for the Phoenix Suns even with Aaron Baynes and Ricky Rubio out with injuries.

On Saturday November 23rd, the Phoenix Suns broke their losing streak in the game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.  During a more recent press event, there was a brief mention regarding D’Angelo Russel, Karl Anthony-Towns, and Devin Booker forming a super team during the pre-season conference; however, tonight was definitely Devin Bookers’ night to shine.

Devin Booker lacked one assist from accomplishing a triple double; posting a stat line of 35 points, twelve rebounds, and nine assists while shooting 46 percent from the field. Where as Devin Booker’s friend, Karl Anthony-Towns, also had a great night statistically with thirty one points, seventeen rebounds, and four assists.  This friendly rivalry pushed both stars as much as they could handle, but Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns were the team to pull off the win with a final score of 100 to 98.

Looking towards the future with the Phoenix Suns, this team will still experience some challenges.  The Suns will continue to struggle with their floor general Ricky Rubio, and their big man that can spread the floor Aaron Baynes out with injuries.

The Phoenix Suns have proven to lack the capability to spread the ball around without Ricky Rubio on the floor. Without Rubio this team is only achieving about twenty two assists per game, not to mention the Suns do not move around the court near as much.

The Phoenix Suns will oppose the Denver Nuggets tomorrow at 6:00 pm against Nikola Jokic in Denver. This Denver team has proven to be better than the Boston Celtics. Following the Denver game, the Phoenix Suns play at home on Wednesday against the Washington Wizards.

The Wizard game should be a win for the Phoenix Suns; however, the third game will be against the Dallas Mavericks with star player Luka Doncic.  I for-see the Phoenix Suns losing the next two out of three games if Ricky Rubio can’t come back..
