Facts are that PTSD can be in every last person to some degree, we all go through traumatic events that change our lives and force us to live with the dramatic change.

But a step forward to concurring this disorder was made today and made by a woman that decided she was not going to do this alone.

Michelle DiMuria the CEO of BEE Daring foundation formed this run event after going through a traumatic rape and family passing away all within a short period of time, DiMuria teamed with the Suns and on Saturday the 8th of February the Project Phoenix 5k run took to the streets of downtown Phoenix to begin the fight of this disorder.

Over 200 runners took to the route for three miles and many venders and musical artist came out in support of the event.

The turn out had over 300 people come out in support of the cause.

In attendance included radio show “The EZ Sports Talk Show” a very popular Saturday morning sports radio show that airs on NBC Sports Radio am 1060 from 10-12, hosted by former NFL player of the Atlanta Falcons Ed Smith and radio talent and app artist Javon Adams.

The first year of this event was pretty good, and going forward will be an annual event with the intension to destroy the stigma of mental illness.

Entertainment came from Frontline Music Militia, a music label based in Phoenix and houses many talented artist. Frontline also fights on the lines for other charity causes in the community, owner Chris “Styles” Lechuga of Phoenix has a significant other survive the fight against cancer, and that inspired them both to go into the community and give back with their time and efforts.

The 2020 Project Phoenix 5K Run/walk a successful step in the right direction to help victims cope with mental illness, although there is a lot more work to be done to make many more aware that there is an organization out there that will stand with you through this challenging disorder.
