Larry Fitzgerald Continues Great Work in Arizona

The Larry Fitzgerald Foundation is back at its works in the community,  after a two-year layoff from the Covid 19 pandemic.

Larry Fitzgerald hosted his event in the same style he always does, in the chef’s uniform from his favorite restaurant Dominick’s Steakhouse in Scottsdale.

Usually, this event is jam-packed with celebrities and athletes from all over the globe, coming and supporting the great cause of Larry’s charity.

It’s an event that is usually held the last week of Cardinals training camp, but after the silent retirement of the 18-year veteran, the event was moved to a more comfortable space on the calendar.

continue to house its charity event there.

The event was scheduled on the same night that the Phoenix Suns were playing game 5 of the semi-conference finals against the Dallas Maverick, and Fitz being part owner had no idea these two dates would clash.

But it still was a very good turnout as the night’s festivities went on through the night, and the Suns won the game which made for a great evening. We asked Larry about the changes to the event and he said: “Yes we had a few changes, but the one thing I knew we would not change is the location here at Dominick’s” The restaurant has been behind this event from its beginning, and now the Larry Fitzgerald Foundation will continue to house its charity event there.

Everyone in the media had questions in regard to how quietly Larry’s exit from the game of football has been, and his answer to us was “I never left I’m still here” now hearing that just makes the fan think there may be hope he is not done playing.

But hold on a minute, if you know Larry he is a very playful and joking type of person, so he said those words with a smile on his face making it hard to gauge the seriousness of the comments.

Then he added “I really just don’t like using the word retire” Fitz compared that statement to his grandfather who retired from his work field at 78 years old and it was time to rest. So in Larry’s eyes saying the word retire means he is of old age and finish with his course of work in life.

He added “I’m only 38 and I have a lot of life left in me” of course, we are asking the question in terms of his football playing career, but those humbling words of Fitzgerald have always been his style and it makes all the sense in the world coming from him.

Larry also added that he will not be having any formal ceremony for actually retiring, so I guess in five years we will see him in Canton.

We did take the time to ask Larry about the supposed rocky relationship between him and his former quarterback Kyler Murray, and he gave his usual meek and humble answer “ I love Kyler never had a fight with any teammate, and if it was a rift it was handled in the locker room right away, that’s  not me”

It was classic Larry Fitzgerald and he looked very happy and content without a grueling camp to get ready for, we wish him the best.

As an executive chairman of the Super Bowl 57 committee, we will get to see Fitz perform for Arizona one more time.
