The JB and Benny Blue Review Podcast was started in April of 2016 by two new friends bonded by their love of football, hip-hop, and savagery.
Jeremy “JB” Bridges is a former offensive lineman in NFL, playing 10 years in the league for the Eagles, Redskins, Panthers, and Cardinals (Go #Birdgang). Since retiring, he has become a coach and fitness professional, and enjoys spending time with his children, and taking your girl.
Ben “Benny Blue” Rhinesmith is a former music and sports publicist turned stand-up comedian and podcaster. He can be regularly seen performing in venues all over Los Angeles, and enjoys making women weep and men cower. He is an avid Lions fan, and requires heart medication in order to get through their games.
Together, they are producing one of the fastest rising sports and entertainment podcasts around. The show is built on a simple idea: no “hot takes”, just real talk. Not afraid to say what they want, listeners can expect hilarious perspectives backed up with unfiltered truth and plenty of memorable (and NSFW) phrases and sayings.
On this episode of the Review, the Savage Duo are joined by friend of the show Chad Carr (Recording Artist & Co-Founder of TrendsCollab) to discuss the legacy left behind by Nipsey Hussle after his untimely death, including building his brand in a unique way, ownership and empowerment, changing the narrative around gang culture, and being a great father and husband. Then, JB and Benny recap the Final Four games and make their uninformed, informed predictions for the NCAA Championship game. Finally, they wrap things up with JB’s patented “You Wit or Not” segment, discussing Paul Pierce’s bold statement, Larry Fitzgerald helping out the Phoenix Suns front office, and more!
Show Notes: It’s a gotdamn emergency in these NFL streets as the Free Agency Frenzy and Trade Season reached a fever pitch as OBJ got dealt to the Browns, and our Special Gmen/Boxing correspondent Kevin Robinson (Kevin Hates Hip-Hop Podcast // @kevinhateshiphop) joins us to go IN on his squad’s crazy ass decision making, their next moves, and a possible move to his hometown Raiders for next season! Then, the boys discuss the Spence-Garcia PPV fight, the deep Welterweight & Middleweight divisions, and how new streaming platforms are breaking down barriers that would normally prevent big fights from happening. Finally, the Bizzle Man and Blue take a shot in the dark and make their patented uninformed 2019 NCAA March Madness Picks! Intro Music: “Portrait in the Moonlight” by HaHa Charade @haha_charade // hahacharade.com
